The Short Version
This is a simple radio stream player. We use Google Analytics to see how many people listen. We don't collect personal information, build listener profiles, or track you across the web. Just a radio player that happens to count listeners.
What This Site Does
This player streams internet radio from an Icecast server. It fetches "now playing" info from the stream metadata and displays album art using public iTunes APIs. That's the entire function.
What We Collect
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand listener behavior. Google collects:
- Page visits (how many people load the player)
- Device and browser type
- General location (city/region level)
- How you found the stream
This helps us understand if anyone actually listens and what times are popular. We don't tie this data to your identity.
Stream Server Logs
The Icecast streaming server (hosted at primostream.com) maintains connection logs including:
- IP addresses of connected listeners
- Connection timestamps and duration
- User agent strings (browser/player info)
These logs are used for server maintenance and bandwidth monitoring. They're not analyzed for user tracking.
Third-Party API Calls
When fetching album artwork, the player makes requests to:
- iTunes Search API — To find album art based on artist/title
These are direct API calls from your browser to Apple's servers. We don't see or store the results.
What We Don't Do
- No user accounts — Nothing to sign up for
- No email collection — We don't have your email
- No selling data — We don't have data to sell
- No social media tracking — No Facebook, X/Twitter, or other social trackers
- No advertising — Just a radio stream
Cookies
This site uses cookies from:
- Google Analytics — Tracks page visits and basic usage patterns
If you block cookies, the player will still work fine. You just won't be counted in analytics.
Media Session API
This player uses the browser's Media Session API to:
- Update your device's lock screen with "now playing" info
- Enable hardware media controls (play/pause buttons)
- Display album art in system notifications
This happens locally in your browser. No data is sent to our servers.
Your Rights
Opt Out of Analytics
Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use a privacy-focused browser.
Listen Anonymously
Use a VPN or proxy if you want to hide your IP address from the stream server. The player will work normally.
Open External Player
Click "Open in external player" to download the .m3u playlist file and listen through VLC, iTunes, or any other player. This bypasses the web player entirely.

Bottom line: This is a hobby radio stream with a simple web player. Google Analytics counts listeners, the stream server logs connections for technical reasons, and album art comes from iTunes. That's it. No tracking, no profiles, no data mining. Just internet radio.
